Abstract: An 8-O-acetyl-shanzhiside methylester was isolated from lamiophlomis rotata (Benth) Kudo and its structure was established by 1H and 13C NMR spectra studies. The 1H and 13C NMR chemical shift assignments for this compound were confirmed by the conventional 1D NMR and 2D NMR shift correlated techniques.
