Abstract: Ages of some carbonate deposites sampled in South China were determined by ESR dating.The results show a good consistence with the Carbon-14 method. Some of the factors are discussed in detail to improve the accuracy of ESR dating,suvch as sample treatment, ESR measurement, determination of the annual dose and total dose, and data proccess.
