Abstract: A Series of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of Agriophyllum sguarrosum L, Moq.and Salsola ruthenica Iljin in whole seeds were obtained by using cross polarization magic angle spinning(CP MAS)technique,Spectra of seeds obtained from two types of desert plant show that protein and Carbohydrate content in them are different.
Cell wall spectra in seeds of Agriophyllum squarrosum L. Moq were dominated largely by resonances from Xyloglucans, while in spectra of Salsola ruthenica Iljin seeds was derived mainly from galactomannan.
