NMR STUDIES OF RHODIUM COMPOUNDS CONTAINING CHIRAL PHOSPHINE LIGANDS

Abstract: Analysis of 1H and 13C NMR spectra of Rhodium compounds trans-((3-MBPA)2Rh(CO)Cl)(1) and trans-((3-MBPA)2Rh(CO)Cl)(2),with the aid of H-H COSY,H-C HMQC, H-H LR COSY experiments, has allowed unambiguous chemical shift assignments of all protons and carbons of the compounds.The trans geometry of the compounds has been determined by means of the coupling constants(JP-Rh,JP-CO,JRh-CO).
