COMPLETE RELAXATION MATRIX ANALYSIS OF NOESY SPECTRUM OF NATURAL ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
Yang Yanwu, Wu Donghui, Xu Xiaolong, Qiu Jianqing, Wang Dehua, Qian Baogong
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 213-219.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(405KB)
The complete relaxation matrix analysis method was used to process the peak intensity matrix of phase sensitive NOESY spectrum of nervosin. The cross relaxation rates between proton pairs were obtained by diagonalizing the peak intensity matrix of NOESY spectrum and the inter-proton distances in nervosin molecule were calculated according to 1/rtf6σtf. The calculated results of complete relaxation matrix analysis method are in agreement with the inter-proton distances calculated by molecular mechanics and determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction method.

Lu Xingjun, Wang Yuanshen, Wu Xuewen
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 221-231.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(604KB)
Proton spin-lattice relaxation times are reported for a 30% polyesterpolyurethane zwitterionomer solution. Measurements of spin-lattice relaxation time as a function of temperature are included. The correlation times of molecular reorientation were calculated with the isotropic model according to BPP theory. The proton spin-lattice relaxation time of polyesterpolyurethane is dominated by dipole-dipole interaction. The molecular reorientations are not at the same time scale between the hard and the soft segments. The molecular reorientation of the soft segments is much faster than that of the hard segment. Strong hydrogen bonds in the hard segments make molecular reorientations of the hard segment groups to have close correlation times. The interactions between the hard and the soft segments in polyesterpolyurethane can also be investigated by comparison of the correlation times in temperature range studied and by comparison of apparent activation energies of four NH peaks.
STUDIES ON THE PHOTOINDUCED ELECTRON TRANSFER PROCESSES IN ZINC OXIDE/PARAQUATS HETEROGENEOUS SYSTEMS
Chen Dewen, Zhou Jianwei, Liu Yanqiu, Yang Yukun, Xu Guangzhi
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 233-240.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(521KB)
The photoinduced electron transfer processes between zinc oxide and 9 kinds of Paraquats have been studied systematically by means of ESR. The dispersion system of ZnO-Paraquat-Micelle-benzene could give strong ESR signals after being irradiated by UV light, it means that photoinduced electron transfer processes between ZnO solid and Paraquat molecules took place without doubt, and PQ++ were reduced to form PQ+ radicals. The results also show that the PQ+ radicals with conjugation structure might give stronger ESR signals than those without conjugation structure; Micelle could also increase the strength of ESR signals; As oxygen was present in the system, ESR signals of PQ+ radicals disappeared, but spin adducts[DMPO-O2-]· and[DMPO-OH]· were detected. It is sure that the photoinduced electron transfer processes between ZnO and Paraquats can be seriously obstructed by oxygen.
DETERMINATION OF INTERNUCLEAR DISTANCES FROM THE NONSYMMETRIC 2D NOESY METHOD——1. Measurement for the full matrix of,2D NOESY mixing coefficient by the nonsymmetric, 2D NOESY
Miao Xijia, Han Xiuwen, Hu Jiehan
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 241-250.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(642KB)
The nonsymmetric 2D NOESY method is proposed to measure the full 2D NOESY mixing coefficient matrix. Theoretical researchs showed that the nonsymmetric 2D NOESY has a nonsymmetric peak intensity matrix and a higher signal-to-noise ratio than the conventional one. Therefore, it is possible that the full 2D NOESY mixing coefficient matrix can be obtained only from the off-diagonal elements of peak intensity matrix of the nonsymmetric 2D NOESY, which is impossible for the conventional 2D NOESY, and the peak intensity measurement of overlapping diagonal elements of the nonsymmetric 2D NOESY in such spin systems as biomacromolecules may be avoided doing. In the final the theoretical results were confirmed with numerical simulated studies.

Hu Banghao, Yuan Hanzhen, Guo Jianxin, Zuo Maoli
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 251-259.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(508KB)
1H NMR spectra of five kinds of plant oils and the 1H spin-lattice relaxation time T1 of CCH2C functional group have been obtained in this paper. The number of functional groups, the unsaturation degree, the esterification degree for each mole of oil have also been calculated. 13C NMR spectra of soybean oil and tea oil have been recorded. From these 13C NMR spectra, we have calculated the ratios of each functional group to methyl group, which agree with the results obtained by 1H NMR quite well, and the mole percentage of saturated and unsaturated fatty acid glycerides in the two oils.

Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 267-273.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(464KB)
In this paper 23Na NMR technique with shift reagent Dy(PPPi)27- was used to study a new type of photosensitizer-Hypocrellin B which photosensitized damage on Na+ permeability of ascitic hepatoma cells. The experimental results show that intracellular Na+ concentration increases with both light dose and photosensitizer concentration. It was also observed that the chemical shift of 23Naout NMR peak moved to downfieid as illumination time was increased in the presence of HB.
Analysis indicates that the changes of chemical shift relate to the loss of intraceilular K+ and K+ competes with Na+ for shift reagent. Therefore, the changes of chemical shift may be an index of photosensitized damage. The relation between the increase of Na+ concentration and cell death was discussed.

Qi Zirong, Liu Jinwei, Sun Ling
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 295-302.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(421KB)
In the diagnosis of malignent with ESR technique, we observed that the signal of ESR waving spectrum was obvious for black hair, while ESR signal of white hair was weaker. The results show that human hair consists of 17 species of amino acids, the contents of which in black hair were identical with those in white hair, but the unique difference between black and white hairs was shown to be melanin. The carrier of ESR signal consists of melanin, protein and lipid, among them, melanin is the fundametal carrier of ESR signal.

PRELIMINARY RESEARCH ON EFFECT OF POWER SATURATION OF QUARTZ IN SEDIMENTS FOR ESR DATING
Ye Yuguang, He die, Diao Shaobo, Gao Juncheng
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 315-322.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(485KB)
Some basic ESR experiments on effect of power saturation of quartz in sediments were introduced. Experimental results suggest that the selection of microwave power, which directly affects the evalation of accumulated dose (AD) and seriously affects the result of ESR dating, is an important parameter. In some special geological conditions, e. g. loess and marine sediments, the reliable ESR ages can be obtained from E' centres of quartz in older sediments (>500ka) by using a higher microwave power.

Yue Yong, Deng Feng, Hu Hongbin, Ye Chaohui, Lin Zuxiang, Tian Shunbao
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1993, 10(3): 329-333.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(291KB)
The structure of solid solutions Li1+2xTi2-xMgxP3O12, in which magnesium were doped, were studied by solid-state high-resolution 31P MAS NMR with P atom as a probe of the structure. The relationship between 31P NMR lines with different chemical shifts and the local structure units Q°in solid solution systems were determined by using a linear correlation between 31P isotropic chemical shift and field strength F of the cation of the second coordination sphere. These results give interpretation for the change of local structure due to the substitution of titanium by magnesium.
