Abstract: Based on the measurements of T1 relaxation time of cerebellar dentate nuclei, we determined the best parameters of a gradient echo MRI sequence for functional imaging of cerebellar dentate nuclei. With the sequence we performed functional MRI of cerebellar dentate nuclei in a normal volunteer. The average increase of signal intensity was 20% during activation state compared with that in resting state. And there was no overlap in signal intensity between resting state and during hand toy matching task.
