VARIABLE TEMPERATURE STUDIES OF FUMARIC ACID MONOETHYL ESTER BY SOLID STATE 1H MAS AND 1H CRAMPS SPECTROSCOPIES
Hu Jianzhi, Deng Feng, Zhou Jinyuan, Feng Hanqiao, Yang Nianhua, Li Liyun, Ye Chaohui
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 1-10.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(581KB)
The 1H MAS spectrum of fumaric acid monoetbyl ester recorded by a single pulse experiment is composed of a high resolution component and a broadline component. The high resolution component can be well separated from the broadline component using Hahn echo sequence with a long echo time. The properties of both components are investigated by variable temperature 1H MAS and CRAMPS experiments. Two sets of resonances are observed in the CRAMPS spectrum as the temperature approaches the melting point of the sample. It is confurmed that the high resolution component is produced by a plastic phase in the solid, while the broadline component is generated by the rest of the solid,i.e., the rigid phase. The experimental resultS sufficiently demonstrate that the modern NMR techniques,1H MAS and CRAMPS,are very useful tools for the studying of plaStic organic solids because of their enhanced spectal resolution.

Miao Zhenchun, Luo Yi, Du Zehan, Feng Rui
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 11-17.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(394KB)
A new NMR technique for measurement of 1D Homonuclear Total Correlation, called the one-dimensional spin echo MDY coherence transfer (1D-SEMDY) was developed. The results obtained show that the efficiency of magnetization transfer among sugar residues of glycoside are much batter for this method than that for 1D-HOHAHA,1D-relayed HOHAHA or 1D multiple relay COSY and a 1D-TOCSY spectrum with all peaks in the absorption mode can be obtained without the use of the Z-filter.The subspectra obtained by the technique show clear lineshapes and good resolution.Spectral assignment within the subspectra can be achieved by varation of mixing time and delay time.

Xu Yunhua, On Baojun, Lu Fei, Zhang Yuheng
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 19-24.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(369KB)
Taking n-C24H50, n-C12H26, squalane, isooctane and 1-hexene as model compounds of low density polyethylene (LDPE), we have detected and identified photolysis products of bensophenone (BP) during the photoinitiated crosslinking of these model compounds for the first time by NMR spectroscopic method. The results show that main product of BP photoreduction is benzopinacol, which provides new experimental evidence for elucidating the mechanism of the photoinitiated crosslinking of LDPE.
COORDINATION SITES OF HISTIDINE TO CADMIUM(Ⅱ) AS STUDIED BY NMR
    Ha Fahu, Mao Xian
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 25-34.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(593KB)
1H、13C、113Cd NMR were applied to the study of the coordination sites of histidine to Cadmium (Ⅱ) in aqueous solutions with varied pH values and compositions. The chemical shifts、line broadening and NOE effects can lead to the confusion that when PH<4.0, histidine coordinates to Cd2+ with the carboxyl oxygen, when PH>4.0, both the carboxyl oxygen and imidazole nitrogen are capable of forming coordination bond to Cd2+.

Liu Jianghua, Xu Suixu, Yao Xinsheng, Hisayoshi Kobayashi
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 35-46.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(635KB)
Twelve 6-or 8 -alkyl-7 -oxygenated coumarins and eight dihydrofuranocoumarins were isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Angelica pubescens Maximf. biserrata Shan et Yuan. Their spectral analysis (1H-, 13C NMR and MS) were discussed referring to some literature's about such kinds of compounds. Combined withthe technique of 2D NMR, some mistakes about carbon assignment of angelol-typecoumarins in literature were corrected.
THE INFLUENCE OF Fe(Ⅲ) ON 13C NMR SIGNALS OF ALIPHATIC ACIDS
Gao Lingjie, Zhao Tianzeng, Qin Hailin, Cheng Shenxiang
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 47-52.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(332KB)
The influence of Fe(Ⅲ) on 13C NMR signals of aliphatic acids was studied. It is shown that the machanism of the influence is the effect of electron spin relaxation on nuclear relaxation and the necessary factor of the influencc is the complexing between Fe(Ⅲ) and the aliphatic aled. It is indicated that the influence weakens rapidly with the increase of the distance. The normal spectra can be obtained by destroying the complexing between Fe(Ⅲ) and the aliphatic acid. This phenomenon can be used to help assign the 13C NMR spectra of some compounds. Fe(Ⅲ) may be used as a probe to study the behvaior of some organic compounds in solution.

Wang Zhiqiang, Wang Min, Liu Jun, Wang Mingan, Chen Wanyi, Shen Qifeng, Ma Libin
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 53-59.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(393KB)
In this paper, the structures of a pair of epimers of 2, 2'-dihydroxy-1,1'-binaphthyl phosphoramidate were studied by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT, COSY,13C-1H COSY, and HMBC spectra; the completely assignment of 1H NMR and 13C NMR chemical shifts were made. Based on them, the conformational analysis of epimers were carried out, results of which were identical with the results of X-ray diffraction.

    Chen Zhong, Wu QinYi
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 69-74.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(362KB)
A program SIMHAUS had been developed to simulate the algebric iterative process of the Hausdroff formula. The program can be used to analyse the evolution of density operator under complex Hamiltonian and to improve pulse sequence. Authors illustrate the application of the program to solve the evolution of I2S spin system during the isotropic mixing process.

We hope that the above difference can be used to diagnose some blood ailments and to examine the tracks of curative effect.
A SIMPLE SCHEME FOR 14N NQR PROBE WITH FAST RECOVERY TIME
Li GengYing, Xie Haibin, Xia Xiaojian
Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 1996, 13(1): 95-97,100.
    Abstract     HTML ( )   PDF(354KB)
The present paper proposes a simple scheme, which involves synchronous gated circuit with the radio-frequency pulses, to construct probe that exhibits different Q values between the transmitting and receiving periods. This proposal results in a dramatic reduction of the recovery time of the probe without attenuating the S/N of 14N NQR spectra. The experimental result demonstrates that with suitably chosen R, the damping resistor, the "dead-time" of the spectrometer can be confined in 20μs by using the suggested probe circuit.
